The "If Only Trap"

It's all too easy to fall into the “if only” trap in today's environment. Thanks to the influence of social media, we are constantly introduced to the idea that our lives “should” be flawless for us to be happy.

When I hired my coach, she taught me that our minds build tales that we live by.

“If Only” was the title of the story my mind was concocting.

I wouldn't be so exhausted,

if only my hubby helped around the house.

I'd feel more confident, if only I could just shed 10 pounds.

I wouldn't worry about my children, if only they followed my instructions.

I wouldn't be so stressed if only I had more money.

I wouldn't be so broken, if only my childhood had been better.

My coach pointed out that as long as I believed these thoughts, I would stay trapped.

She showed me how this way of thinking prohibited me from achieving my goals.

  • Being in the current moment.

  • Practicing gratitude.

· Taking action with the resources available to me at the time.

She explained to me that if I allowed my mind to dwell on what I didn't have, I could not be grateful for what I did have.

She taught me there is nothing wrong with wanting to do our best.

However, if we demand perfection or nothing at all, we will end up with nothing at all.

She helped me to realize that in my quest to construct the “ideal” life and family, I was missing out on the joys of being present with them in the moment.

Then she showed me how to rewrite the story that was running through my head.

The benefits of doing so have been amazing.

My marriage has improved, as has my bond with my children.

I was able to get rid of my “mom guilt”, and my self-esteem improved.

It got easier for me to achieve my goals.

Are you having trouble with an “if-only” story of your own? If that's the case, it would be a pleasure to assist you in recreating the story your mind is telling you. I can help you learn how to control your mind rather than allowing your mind to control you.

Can you picture your marriage being more intimate and connected than it is now? Wouldn't it be nice to have that kind of connection with your kids, knowing that they can come to you with their problems?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could achieve more of your own goals?

You're only one session away!

I offer a 30-minute ($50 value) session for absolutely free during July and August to all new clients. During this free session, I will coach you on one topic. I will show you the root cause of the problem and a solution to change it. In addition, I am offering a 10% discount on all coaching packages.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to rewrite the story your mind is offering you.

Hope to see you soon,

Roanna

P.S. My new story is “Life is an exciting adventure and I am enjoying it.”

P.P.S.

Food for thought:

The Bible says -

“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant.” (Ecc. 11:4)

That's precisely what happens to us if we believe our “if only” story.

It prevents us from flourishing in the place where God had placed us.

P.P.P.S

Do you know someone who could benefit from this email?

If so, would you please forward it to them? I'm trying to help as many people as possible.

Thanks!
